Your rights

Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency guidance provides a 14-day return or exchange right, subject to legal exceptions including rapidly perishable goods and certain changes to product condition. It also provides a 30-day right for defective goods. These are separate rights; a food product is not automatically excluded from a defect claim.

For qualifying defective goods, the guidance requires replacement or refund without extra customer costs within one week of approaching the supplier, using the purchase payment method for refunds. Statutory rights also apply to discounted purchases.
